Mission: Alcoholics anonymous st. Paul area intergroup (intergroup) is a nonprofit membership corporation organized through the efforts of members of alcoholics anonymous (aa) solely for the charitable and educational purpose of aiding and assisting that organization in its efforts to contact, educate, and assist alcoholics, their families and others in dealing with the problems of alcoholism. Intergroup acts as a central service, communications and educational agency for all alcoholics anonymous groups/squads in the metropolitan and suburban areas of st. Paul, minnesota and elsewhere, that from time to time may communicate to intergroup their desire to cooperate with it and be included in some or all of its services and activities.
Programs: Group services - group services provide a central office, facilities and services necessary for receiving calls from alcoholics, others seeking contact with aa groups/squads and for transmitting such calls to aa members in groups/squads in the caller's area who will respond. Group services provides other services for advancing and facilitating the work objective of aa in the area and within the principles and traditions of aa. Group services maintains communication with the general service office in new york city and with aa groups/squads or intergroup associations in other areas. Group services also provides information, speakers, and education about aa to members of the public and to aa groups/squads and their members in the area. Service office operations - service office operations, located in st. Paul, minnesota, offers for sale aa literature, as well as other recovery related merchandise and literature, to the public and to aa groups/squads and their members.
