Mission: The hospital's primary mission is to provide highly valued and service oriented healthcare for the community. The hospital is a 329-bed acute care facility with a psychiatric and a rehabilitation unit that provides healthcare to more than 400,000 residents of sw. Pa. The hospital considers its service area to include twenty-one communities in southwestern allegheny county and northern washington county. The hospital also operates a 24 hour emergency department to meet the medical needs of the community. The hospital also maintains a comprehensive outpatient center in bethel park, pa as well as two smaller outpatient centers within nearby communities.
Programs: The organization's primary exempt purpose is to provide healthcare services to the community and operate a 24 hour emergency department to meet the medical needs of the community. In the current year,the hospital provided 74,898 days of care to the adult and pediatric population of the community, served 16,024 admissions, performed 375,524 occasions of outpatient services and treated 59,708 emergency room visits.

st. Clair memorial hospital's auxilliary operates the gift shop located within the hospital,holds a columbine luncheon and gives health career scholarships (to be paid the following year). The gift shop is open for the convenience of the patient families and the hospital staff. All proceeds benefit the mission of st. Clair hospital.
