So I attended Saint Catherine Laboure School for nine years so I was eager to help out the school and faculty who shaped me to be the person I am today. When I was serving at my school I was always available to the students who needed help with any classwork or homework. I was also available to help the students understand what the high school life is like and what you need to do to prepare yourself for high school. Although I primarily focused on the kids, I also was helping out the staff. I was helping them with the errands they needed to get done so they could help the students, I was making posters and taking old posters down and I was also organizing the students portfolios and put them all in order.
I attended the school right next to this parish for 9 years and recently went back to serve the teachers and students who have yet to graduate. Both the school and parish are very welcoming and it was so easy to get a visitor’s pass and organize with the staff when I could come to get service hours done. The students are very respectful and the teachers have not changed a bit from when I attended the school. It was overall a great experience to work one on one with kids of all ages and assist my past teachers and I would definitely go back again.
