Programs: St. Alexius medical center began as a 20-bed hospital 130 years ago. Over the years it has evolved into a 306-bed, full-service, certified level ii trauma acute care center that provides advanced healthcare services. St. Alexius served 10,245 inpatients during the fiscal year ended june 30th 2017. With 1,306 births in fy 2017, mothers in the region choose to have their baby at st. Alexius medical center. Our family-focused care provides a wide range of services for mother and baby, and our specially trained nurses and physicians are prepared to handle every birthing experience with care. St. Alexius' 4-bed level iii nicu has served the region for more than 27 years, which is staffed by neonatal nurses, therapists, board-certified neonatologists, a pediatric neurologist and the region's only pediatric cardiologist. St. Alexius' heart & vascular center provides comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular, lung, and peripheral artery disease.
