I’ve been following SquirrellyAF for about two years. Jill has taken in many animals during that time—sharing their rescue stories, their progress as they recover, and in many cases, their release back into the wild. With her knowledge of wildlife rehab, her willingness to educate the public, and her sense of humor, she has created an uplifting community on her Facebook page, who celebrate with her when her babies do well and grieve with her when they don’t make it (which is a sad, but inevitable, part of rescue). Jill shares many pictures and videos of her animals, and her followers love to leave comments and questions for her. She acknowledges every comment, showing her true appreciation for her followers. Jill and SquirrellyAF are a real treasure.
Squirrellyaf Inc. is such a valued part of our community. Jill selfishly takes in squirrels and opossums that are injured, have been abandoned by their mother or who have fallen. These injured or abandoned animals are warmed, fed, and loved. Any animal that Jill takes in that can be released back into the wild are released when they are able to take care of themselves and have healed from any injury. Those that have significant injuries and cannot be released back into the wild become permanent residents. I don’t donate to many causes and or nonprofits but Squirrellyaf always has my support and donations.
Jill is a fantastic carer who gives her all for the creatures that come her way. She has an amazing heart and readily shares her knowledge and enthusiasm. She's a treasure.
Jill is so passionate, knowledgeable and compassionate in caring for these rescues. I’ve visited twice when I was in town, and I’ve learned so much from her. I’m just in awe at how much she does, and I know that every animal at Squirrelly AF receives the best care!!!❤️
I love aquirrellyaf. ❤️ I have learned so much from Jill She takes us through the animal rescue journys and she fights to heal them right to the end. I still remember Mr Possy a rescued possum that was is really bad shape. I cried so much when he passed away but i got comfort knowiing he was loved and cared for. Jill shows us how special the animals are and you can see how they bond with her. I always send a special prayer to new intakes. Jill you are a true angel on earth. And the rescue animals you take in are so fortunate to be in your care. Always look forward to your posts.
Jill has created an amazing rescue. I have known her for years. And everything she does is for the animals in her care. She specializes in squirrels and recently ventured out and started doing opossums and raccoons, and has shown us that her knowledge and her love for wildlife Is for every living creature. We love her and appreciate all the help she does for the community.
I owned a tree service and found 2 baby flying squirrels I kept them for a few months but wanted them to be released my cousin is friends with Jill and I reached out to her. She was very informative and so helpful and offered to take them make sure they were in good health and release them! That’s exactly what she did! I’ve followed her ever since. I love seeing all of the animals she helps even if she looses one knowing they were with her and safe brings me comfort. God bless her and all of the life’s she touches She is a hero of mine for sure
This rescue has so much love for animals that are in need. I have watched Jill nurse them back to healthy beautiful condition so they can be released and live their natural lives.
She provides care for animals that can’t survive in the wild any longer due to their condition and shows them love and respect their whole life through. She uses her own funds if she has to when she needs to provide for them because she relies upon us to keep her rescue going through donations. Look for her wish list if you don’t want to donate money because every little bit helps and every animal deserves a little bit of love and a person like Jill to rescue them.

I am a big fan of Squirrelly AF Rescue. Jill not only shares with us the journey as she rescues, rehabs & releases her wildlife, but she educates us along the way. We actually get to know the 'babies' she loves and cares for and grow to love them too. Though they all find their way into our hearts, those with special needs also teach us how much value each little life brings into this world, no matter their challenges.
