Causes: Adult Education, Education, Educational Services, Literacy, Remedial Reading & Encouragement
Mission: Spavinaw Literacy Council tutors help students of ALL ages without respect to sex, ethnicity, education, or any other societal grouping. We provide ESL (English as a Second Language) instruction for speakers of other languages; Reading instruction for non-readers or for adults or youth who wish to improve their skills. We also provide help with math, Driver Exam preparation, English, and many other subjects. Some of our services are available on the web. One of our volunteers even tutors online in an "Ask-a-Teacher" homework help center. We believe that we don't help individuals. Every person we help ultimately helps many other people down the line. When we help one person, we help the world.
