Programs: General education development (ged) is a program that follows the texas education agency (tea) standarized curriculum framework for adult ged. Students are tested every six weeks using practice tests and simulating testing conditions in order to measure improvement to determine when students are ready to proceed to a testing site.
in adult basic education (abe) participants will learn basic reading, math, and writing skills. Successful completion of the abe program is achieved by reaching a 7th grade level in reading and math comprehension.
the english as a second language (esl) program offers adults with limited or no english proficiency an opportunity to acquire and learn the english language communications skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in a competency-based format.
