Mission: South County Housing is a nonprofit community development corporation. Our Mission is to promote viable neighborhoods that enhance healthy, sustainable communities by collaboratively providing affordable housing and promoting neighborhood services. Through our programs, even low-income families can afford quality housing. Since 1979, we’ve built nearly 2,700 units, including 1346 affordable apartments for families with children, seniors, farm workers, teachers and people with disabilities.
Results: In FY2008 we completed construction on 25 homes, with 192 homes in construction and 896 homes and apartments in approvals. We maintained a 98% average occupancy rate for 1346 apartments with an average rent collection rate of 97%. New residents told us on our survey they were 100% satisfied at move-in. During the year, SCPM completed approximately $400,000 in improvements to our 36 multi-family rental properties. Of tenants who completed our annual customer satisfaction survey, 90% agreed they are satisfied with services provided by SCPM.
