Mission: To encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred giant schnauzers and to encourage members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the american kennel club, and to otherwise protect and advance the interests of the breed.
Programs: Production of a quarterly newsletter which informs the membership of upcoming events, reports news of club members and their dogs, provides information concerning health issues and akc standards, provides dog grooming and dog handling tips and provides information about the club to the general public.

holding regular membership meetings to conduct club business (including election of the board at the annual meeting); plan upcoming dog shows and educational outreach; holding dog grooming classes and demonstrations, obedience seminars and demonstrations, health care discussions, demonstration of dog tricks, sponsorship of fund raising raffle and voting on club donations.
