South Bay Music Connection has helped showcase so many budding Southbay bands. They provide quality, fun venues for the bands to show off their talents, gain experience with live audiences, collaborate with other bands, speak to audiences , gain confidence and exposure to interested photographers and recording studios. The bands have venues to look forward to perform which makes all the difference ! So thankful to this organization for all the work they do to create opportunities for these bands!

Kim and her team are passionate about giving young musicians the opportunities to be seen and heard. Unlike some other "Soccer/Rocker Moms" they are open to any and all, don't play favorites and keep things drama free. They are in it for the right reasons - to give kids a great experience, vs. making money or promoting their specific kids bands.
The ladies of South Bay Music Connection have done a wonderful job of getting our kids out and experiencing public performances. We really appreciate all of the opportunities given to our 15-year-old daughter. Thank you!
South Bay Music Connection is an amazing non-profit organization that promotes music, especially for young musicians and emerging artists. SBMC creates opportunities for young musicians to play at venues and festivals, where they may not otherwise have an opportunity to perform. SBMC brings diverse musicians together and gives back to the community through free performances and fund-raising events. We are so fortunate to have SBMC in our community!

I found SBMC in 2021 through a friend, Chrysta Powell, when she was appointed as SBMC's vice president and talent coordinator. I read more about the organization and after reading their mission, I knew I needed to contact them regarding my 17 year old son who is a guitarist and vocalist. He was looking for opportunities to perform outside of his music school but also needed a more inclusive environment where his disabilities would be taken into consideration. He has been a musician since the age of 6 but also spent his childhood in therapy for challenges surrounding lack of language production and severe processing delays. While producing language on his own was not developing properly, song lyrics were some of his first words. For nearly a decade, he worked in therapy and music gave him a voice. Now considered highly verbal, at nearly 18, conversation skills are still emerging. After meeting with Kimberly Koffler in October of 2021, I realized that my son not only NEEDED to be a part of this organization but he needed these amazing people and like-minded musicians in his life. I also realized that I needed to play a more integral role as well so I joined the board. SBMC's mission and beliefs mirror mine and being on the board also allows me to pay forward to all the other talented teens and young adults in our area all that Kimberly and Chrysta do and have done for my son. I happily fill the community liaison position for SBMC and my son has made huge strides musically and socially since his first performance with them on March 5, 2022. Much, MUCH gratitude and appreciation.
We are so lucky to have SBMC in our community. Not only is there immense incredible talent amongst our youth and transitioning to adult residents, but SBMC provides an opportunity for free entertainment to be provided at many of our community events. From our sidewalk sales to our Fiesta and Holidays event, SMBC is a true partner. Their generosity enables us to feature more local young talent, which benefits all. We're so grateful!
I have been involved with Kimberly and the South Bay Music Connection events now for the past few years. The community response to her teen music events has been overwhelming. The interest continues to grow via work of mouth. She gets more new teen bands reaching out to her regularly which allows for great diversity in the performances. She does a great job bringing the bands together to play in local venues to hone their skills and to meet other bands in the area. With her non-profit status she can now provide better locations, instruments for the back line, and most importantly advertising to keep the music playing.
South Bay Music Connection has created so many great opportunities for young musicians to perform in a professional environment. My son plays in a rock band and thanks to SBMC his band has been able to perform locally and connect with other youth musicians. It has increased his love and enjoyment of music, which has been such a positive outlet for him. We love South Bay Music Connection
We give to South Bay Music Connection. Though the opportunities that SBMC provides, my daughter and her almost-all-female bandmates are crafting their skills in real-world performance settings. It is events like these that support youth musicians and help them develop and grow, both on and off the stage.
Kimberly and South Bay Music Connection have such a passion and dedication to working with young and aspiring musicians in the community. My daughter has been involved in numerous events and has had such an amazing time participating with all of the other kids. It is a great organization.
As a music lover but unfortunately instrument challenged this is a wonderful way for the kids to nurture and showcase their musical abilities. It allows them to learn how to adapt and deal with others ie: staff, crew and audiences. South Bay Music Connection also gives kids that are just starting out the time to grow their courage and abilities thru the audition process and then performing. SBMC has puts on several entertaining music events around the area that were well attended and gave musicians and non musicians an outlet to grow and view upcoming artists. This will be a program I continue donate too.
South Bay Music Connection has allowed youth bands to have the opportunity to play at various venues in the South Bay. Helping these bands expand their musicality, performance experience and confidence. Our son’s band, Behind Schedule has grown tremendously while having fun and bringing the joy of music and youthful energy and creativity to the community.
Kimberly works tirelessly to book and promote local teen bands. The venues for teen bands to play at are few and far between around here-Kimberly and South Bay Music Connection are working hard to find places for teen bands to practice playing the music they love while providing family friendly entertainment. Kimberly Koffler and Teen Music has done a lot for the community, the youth and our organization, Eubanks Conservatory of Music and Arts, Inc. Several months ago, she contacted us inquiring if we had some musician students that would be interested in performing at one of her events. A few of our students auditioned, passed and performed at her event. It was a lot of fun and professionally organized. The event was outstanding!
