House of Yahweh both serves and is served by the Los Angeles greater South Bay Community.
They partner with individuals, businesses, churches , and schools to help people in need. With a small staff, many volunteers, and a positive energy they respectfully listen to and try to assist all who come to them. I have volunteered there for 28 years and while my patience has been tested at times, I am grateful to part of a community that treats all people with respect and gives volunteers the opportunity to contribute according to their own gifts and skills.
Most recently I was able to help find housing for a homeless disabled individual and get him off the streets for a few nights, with their assistance.

House of Yahweh, a local non-profit recently honored Sister Michele Morris CSJ, one of its founding members, and long time director at her retirement. They recognized her work and that of the organization for serving those in need for 35 years. I have been a long term volunteer and have worked in the Marine and Artesia Thrift Stores, and in also in the office over the last 25 years. The work there continues under the leadership of Angie Pacheco. The House of Yahweh community- the volunteers, the employees, and those in need of support- are a welcoming community. All are welcome!
