Causes: International, International Relief, Named Trusts, Philanthropy, Women, Womens Service Clubs
Mission: Improving the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.
Programs: Awards and scholarships are given to women and young girls to help better their circumstances; assist with college, professional or technical education; promote their active volunteerism in our community; and help them make a difference in the lives of women and girls. Approximately 8 people benefited by the awards and scholarships given out this year.
club service projects such as the (1)tree of hope, which benefited approximately 900 children, (2) mammogram fund, which benefited approximately 10 women with free mammograms for women without health insurance or whose insurance does not cover mammograms, (3) heart of a woman, which benefited approximately 42 women with free heart health screenings for women without insurance or whose insurance does not cover preventative care
soroptimist federation and international programs such as (1) stop trafficking program aimed at raising awareness about the devastating practice of sex trafficking; (2) disaster grants for women and girls that target their special needs during natural and man-made disasters; (3) workplace campaign to end domestic violence.
