Mission: Physician families committed to creating a healthier sonoma county by improving the lives of those in need.
Programs: Give-a-gift foster youth programour give-a-gift program provided christmas gifts to over 200 foster children in sonoma county and expanded to support college-bound foster youth (more than 25 youth) with laptops and textbooks. During the 2016-2017 fiscal year, the scmaaf spent $60889 on gifts, laptops, and textbooks. Health career scholarshipsscmaaf granted $29,449 to our health career scholarships committee and celebrated 50 years of scholarship giving. The primary fundraiser for this program is a holiday card created by our organization and purchased by sonoma county physicians. Safe schools anti bullying program $17,152 was awarded to 23 sonoma county schools. We are proud to have reached our goal to award more schools than ever with mini-grants for safe schools programs. Teddy bear project the scmaaf gave 200 teddy bears to local hospitals to help comfort children going to have surgery and those in the er. The total cost of this program was $1,477.
