Mission: To enhance veteran's services through the coordination of the milwaukee county veterans service office with a special emphasis on services to homeless veterans. The soldiers home foundation has been active in the preservation of the entire historic district through the nomination process of the national soldiers home historic district to national landmark status.
Programs: The renovation of the 1889 home chapel (building 12), the 1901 chaplains quarters (building 16), and 3 acres of land will provide for the milwaukee county veteran's service office and the soldiers home foundation to provide necessary veteran's services which will especially concentrate on services to homeless veterans.
