Cheryl is very passionate and knowledgeable about Equine Assisted-Active Therapies, she is certified through PATH International. She is a mentor and teacher that really wants people to learn and developed relationships-with the horses. Cheryl works with veterans and active-duty military personnel--with physical, cognitive and emotional challenges find strength and independence through the power of the horse each year. In addition to therapeutic riding, she has two amazing ponies ( Ben and Jerry) trained for driving .
Carriage Driving offers students with physical, mental, sensory or emotional disabilities the rewards of interaction and control of a horse or pony while driving from a carriage seat or in their own wheelchair in a carriage modified to accommodate their wheelchair. People who are in Cheryl’s programs are extremely lucky as she is an accredited Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Therapeutic Driving Instructor. She is one of the few mentors in the state, she helps and trains others in becoming PATH Intl instructors. I have been learning a lot from her and hope someday soon to recieve my PATH International accreditation.
