Mission: The society of toxicologic pathology's vision is to be an international leader for improvement of human, animal, and environmental health using an interdisciplinary scientific approach based in pathology and toxicology.

The modular courses include three full days of specific educational scientific sessions relating to toxicologic pathology. The society holds regional meetings each year that are attended by approximately 100 members and other interested scientists on a specific topic in toxicologic pathology in one day. The society holds a pathology conference for non-pathologists every other year over a three-day period attended by approximately 50 members and other interested scientists.
the society's journal, toxicologic pathology, is published eight times a year for members and other subscribers. Supplements to the journal are published periodically.
eleven standing committees and numerous subcommittees, in addition to the executive committee, conduct the society's business and organize its programs.
the society supports special interest groups (sigs) composed of society members that specifically enhance networking and scientific exchanges relevant to the mission and strategic plan of the society. There are currently ten sigs: cardiovascular, clinical pathology, digital pathology, environmental toxicologic pathology, immune system, juvenile pathology, medical devices, pig toxicologic pathology, neuropathology, and reproductive pathology.
