Mission: To provide any form of personal help to anyone in need. Key areas of assistance:operating a food pantry system at 73 locations, operating a homeless dining facility and providing homeless prevention programs by providing mortgage,rent,and utility assistance.
Programs: St. Vinny's bistro at haven for hope- over 7,585 volunteers in the svdp dining room served 389,208 meals in 2014. The dining room serves 3 meals every day of the year and provides sack meals for prospects who work off campus and peanut butter sandwiches for those who need food with medication. The working poor, families, senior citizens and other homeless are served nutritious meals free of charge.
community assistance program - direct assistance to the needy of san antonio and bexar county. Assistance is given for rent/mortgage, utility bills, medical expenses,school supplies,and funeral arrangements.
needs fulfillment program (st. Vinnys values thrift store) - distributes clothing, furniture and appliances to the needy and partner agencies through an online store.
