Causes: Education
Mission: The primary goal of school smiles is to train grade school children to brush and floss everyday in the classroom. We are currently seeking sponsors to conduct a study that would prove this program improves longterm oral health.
Programs: We have partnered with the dental school at ohsu in portland, oregon tohelp conduct the study that will improve the oral health of participatingstudents. We have manufactured an over-sized (6ft) mouth model to demonstratebrushing and flossing technique to the children. We have established a home school program that provides on the jobtraining for students interested in serving home bound seniors with poor oral hygiene.
