Programs: The foundation manages and oversees 33 dedicated funds. The most active funds continue to be the children's therapy fund, the cancer care fund, the kidney dialysis fund and most recently, the surgical services fund. In 2017, the foundation granted $528,343 to support programs and services at skagit regional health. Grants that were paid in 2017 include:-$45,605 to purchase an exam table and for a pharmacy remodel study in the cancer care center-$7,893 to support the cancer care patient assistance fund-$16,129 to purchase treadmills for the cardiac rehab program-$150 for chapel needs-$11,382 for supplies for the children's therapy program-$275 for kidney dialysis education-$41,500 to underwrite the healthquest magazine and pay toward the foundation's administrative grant-$398,619 to purchase new hemodialysis chairs and machines for the skagit valley kidney center-$5,291 to purchase a podiatry table for the wound healing center-$1,500 for needs in the mental health center
