Causes: Health, Health Care, Religion, Roman Catholic
Mission: Founded as teachers and nurses for the poor in Mainz in 1851, the Sisters came to the United States in 1876 and to New England in 1946. Here we have operated an outstanding Catholic, coed, pre-primary-to-grade-twelve school that now enrolls over 1100 students as well as Camp Mishannock, a summer camp for girls, since 1947. Our Sisters are also involved in parish ministry, counseling, and care of the sick and the homeless.
We have always sought to meet the needs we find. Today, Sisters are educators, nurses, administrators, counselors, and parish ministers.
