Mission: Educationthe mission of the sister cities of los angeles is to increase awareness of the various sister of los angeles partnerships and the different cultures they represent with the goal of fostering people to people diplomacy, promoting cultural ties, and developing economic trade.
Programs: Italy's arts & culture celebration included a year-long reciprocal celebration of arts and culture. Los angeles showcased its world renowned creative culture and arts institutions in ischia, while highlighting italy's beautiful vitality in los angeles. The program featured exhibitions, performances, film screenings, panels, workshops, and other artistic encounters with los angeles and italian-based arts and educational institutions. This year-long cultural and artistic exchange increased the awareness of los angeles and ischia as unique destinations while strenghthening cultural tourism and economic development oppourtunities.
