Mission: Sierra vista child & family services (svcfs) is a non-profit community based organization providing services for children, youth, adults, and families since 1972 to over 22,000 children and families yearly. The agency provides an extensive continuum of programs including community-based family resource centers, mental health counseling and consultation, case management, parent education, child abuse prevention and intervention, domestic violence counseling, non-public and public school services, perinatal substance abuse services, and foster care and adoption. Svcfs is located in stanislaus county with an additional office in merced county. Our mission is to assist children, youth, and adults by empowering and supporting them in becoming stronger and healthier individuals, families and communities.
Programs: Svcfs operates outpatient, early intervention and adhd clinics, and also provides school based and home based counseling services. Services provided by these programs approximated 20,000 hours. Funding for the above programs is provided by behavioral health & recovery services.
sierra vista operates two non-public schools. The average enrollment during the year was 117 students.
svcfs operates a foster family treatment program, an intensive care foster family program, and provides adoption services.

These include first step perinatal, family reunification, child abuse & domestic violence prevention programs, the bridge, residential treatment, and various other counseling programs. Sierra vista has seen expansion with its family resource centers, now operating at 3 locations in stanislaus county. Funding for the above programs is provided by behavioral health and recovery services, community services agency, children's and families commission, participant fees, fundraising and donated dollars.
