I witnessed the wonderful sustainable initiatives, developmental and education projects, as well as the many endeavors carried out by the Shemka Foundation in many parts of Cameroon. I can personally testify that this organization has transformed the lives of many. Mission: Our mission is to support and promote sustainable community development in Cameroon.
Programs: Rural Clinic Renovation: The goal of this program is to assist rural health centers in developing infrastructure and staffing to deliver affordable healthcare to rural communities. Medical Professional Training: The program offers opportunities for young women in rural communities to obtain professional certification and support healthcare delivery within their communities. Each class size is limited to 12 trainees. Prevention of Verical HIV Transmission: The goal of this program is to reduce Mother-to-Child HIV transmission in rural communities through education, testing, and treatment, in liaison with HIV/AIDS treatment centers and other support groups.
