Mission: We believe in the dignity of every person and therefore accept the responsibility to care for and nurture those in need. We provide housing, community shelters and meals along with the widest possible array of outreach and supportive services delivered according to the highest professional standards by seeking to give voice to the needs and concerns of the downtrodden (in part).
Programs: Transitional shelter at 1 hudson street- this 24 hour shelter provided food, shelter and referral to services for 93 homeless single men in 2014. Broadway manor- this project provided transitional housing, food, and referrals to support services for 31 formerly homeless men and women in 2014. It also provided emergency shelter to an average of 28 homeless men and women each night, for a total of more than 10,200 bed-nights. Travers house- provided independent apartment-style living to 52 formerly homeless men and women in 2014, along with food and referrals to necessary services.
