Mission: Wcci is the only women? S crisis advocacy program operating in the entire middle east and north african region. Wcci has three primary mandates: 1) provide 24/7 english and arabic crisis advocacy support for victims of gender based violence; 2) provide long term case work care and referral services for survivors; 3) provide community education and awareness on violence against women throughout the kingdom of bahrain and the mena region.
Programs: Adovocacy - provide 24/7 english and arabic crisis advocacy support for victims of gender based violence. In 2017, wcci supported 239 cases of abuse, a 405% increase from the prior year.
casework - provide long-term case work care and referral services for survivors. In 2017 wcci supported 149 survivors with ongoing casework, a 249% increase from the prior year.
outreach - provide community education through workshops & trainings, and promote awareness on violence against women. Wcci participated in 30 community events in 2017 to increase awareness.
