Shae’s Place

Ms. Keren is always amazing for our children. She and her volunteers have been wonderful stewards and connections for our children on ways that we fall short. Our children love and value the time they get to spend at Shea’s Place, learning God’s word, and having another avenue to help them through today’s challenges facing youth.

I love Shaes Place its a great place it has changed my life and perceptive of God. I came when I was in 5th grade and I am now in 6th grade and still go. The counselors are great with the kids and Mama K treats us like family! I am so thankful to be able to be here with other people!

I think Shae's Place is the best ,on they take us to church on wednesday. Shea's Place brings me closer to God . They also do a family fun and do fundrasier to.

Shaes place is a good place. It could change your life forever. I have been going to Shaes Place for a long time and the founder Ms Karen changed my life forever. I have learned so much stuff by going to this place especially learning about Jesus.

So I found shaes place through Ms.keren and I was going through alot when I joined I was Christian I just didn’t know how to find my way on the path but shaes place helped me find my way to god and become a better version of myself and thank them all for that my mental health is better and is feels like home here. I know god way better than I used to and I’m grateful and I will love this place forever. Eveyone is so kind aswell and you always have someone to talk to that will listen. So if your thinking on joining I highly recommend it because trust me you will not regret joining

My 3 older children have gone to Shae's place and now I have my youngest going. Shae's place has helped my older boys with problems they were having and helping them become involved in church. I now volunteer at Shae's Place on Wednesday's.

Shaes place has been a cool place for me. Even though I have only gone for 2 years it is still amazing. The people there are very friendly and very kind. We all help each other with work we need done. And no one gets left out. Sometimes we will even do afternoon bomb fires and we will hang out and play man hunt

Shae's Place isn't only for children. I was very lost when my daughter started going to Shae's Place. I was angry with God, because my step dad had committed suicide and I was mad because God let him. I started helping Mrs Keren a little bit here and there. I started going back to church. Shae's Place helped me realize that God has a big plan for us. Sometimes we don't understand or realize it.

I teach at a local middle school where Shae's Place has an after school ministry. As a result of this ministry, I have witnessed many students who find their "safe place" and their voice. I have been so impressed with the ministry in my school, I decided to join Shae's Place as a board member. Being a part of this ministry has grown me both spiritually and emotionally. I am a better person for being able to have a small part in the life changing work the mentors and volunteers do at Shae's.

I was blessed to have my Shae in my 5th grade class! Shae’s Place is a fabulous for kids to feel a sense belonging, guaranteed homework help, and best of all spirit guidance! This place is a CONSTANT for many kids where they hearts and bellies are fed! I can’t think of a better after school program than Shae’s Place!

I can't say enough about Mama K and Shae's Place! She and the mentors were there to support my children and myself when we had some hard life blows. We were struggling just to make it through each day. We lost 4 very important people- life long friends and mentors- in just a short 2 years time span. It's hard enough juggling middle/high school years, hormones, "growing pangs", educational goals, physical and mental development changes and so on, but then toss in heart ache and depression; mental struggles. Shae's Place was our safe place. We were always treated with kindness and love! Always accepted! Now that my children have graduated, we don't get by there much, but if we run in to Mama K at Greer's or in town we all still get a hug and huge smile! Thank you for sharing The Love of God to our community!

Both of my daughters were members of Shae's Place GMS. They both loved the fellowship and volunteerism that they experienced as a part of this family. I appreciated that I could send my children with Ms. Keren and her staff without worry for their safety, spiritually or physically. No longer having time to devote to Shae's Place was a disappointment for them when they began high school. I will always be grateful for this amazing organization!
