Programs: Serve recruits, trains, screens, places, retains, rewards and recognizes volunteers at over 220 hillsborough county public schools, supporting the efforts of teachers, administrators, and district staff. Serve trains parents, volunteers and students to be effective tutors. They also train school staff on working effectively with volunteers. Serve coordinates a volunteers speakers bureau who provides expsposure to a variety of opportunities and careers in the classroom. Serve supervises volunteer screening ensuring student safety.
