Second harvest secured and distributed 7,436,400 pounds of donated food and grocery products during the fiscal year; and supports approximately 160 programs including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, after-school programs, backpack programs and kids cafes. Second harvest receives food donations through the emergency food assistance program (usda and csfp); ohio food program; ohio agriculture clearance program, food manufacturers, retailers, and farmers. Expenses include the actual food and grocery products valued at $8,207,502 and $1,234,843 in expenses related to the transportation, storage and distribution of food and grocery products.
