I have been associated with Second Chance Chi Inc as a donor and volunteer. I have experience with hundreds of non-profit animal rescues because I started as a volunteer transporter. I drove the dogs and cats, and at times rabbits, from open-admission shelters in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois to the safety of no-kills shelter/rescues around Chicago and up into Wisconsin. There are no-kill shelters/rescues I stopped delivering to because of their terrible conditions or practices. I have seen a LOT in rescue.I would rate Second Chance Chi as an absolutely first-class rescue! They are run by intelligent, caring people who work tirelessly to save the animals. They really KNOW dogs and their behavior and this helps them rescue dogs that other rescues might pass up.As a donor, I have the utmost confidence that they are fiscally responsible and I never hesitate to make donations of money or goods. I know it all goes to help the animals. I encourage others to donate to Second Chance Chi, foster for them and adopt from them.

Second Chance Chi helps all dogs, no matter the size. They are always willing to take on a medical case. They want to make sure that they help as many dogs as possible. They believe that there isnt anything worse than a dog not being loved, so they reach out and try to love as many dogs as possible.

From my first contact with Second Chance Chi in Salt Lake City, Corey has gone beyond what he needed to for a chihuahua I was trying to rehome.
I know there have been struggles, but Corey and Second Chance Chi (SLC) manage to get things done for chihuahuas, and their human owners.

They are giving lots of animals second chances! Especially pit bulls. Which are the most misunderstood dog out there...as I have 3 rescue pits and could not imagine my life without them! God bless them and the work they do!
