My husband and I have volunteered with the Seattle Angels Love Box program for a few months now. We have loved the opportunity to get to know a local foster family. The foster parents always are so appreciative for the support of our friendship, for playing with their boys, for bringing them a meal that they don't have to plan/prepare, and the Love Box filled with their favorite things. We feel honored that they have invited us into their life and family. I can't more highly recommend volunteering with this nonprofit. The opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with children and parents is unmatched!
The ONE overarching comment I receive from volunteers is that they LOVE volunteering for Seattle Angels because of the relational aspect. The personal connection to interact with a fostering family and hear their story, meet their child(ren) and pour into their lives, is unmatched! Whether volunteers come alongside families through the Love Box or Dare to Dream Program, their lives are enriched by helping others in the community.
