Mission: Seafarers’ Friend is a regional non-profit organization providing physical, social, emotional, and spiritual support to seafarers arriving in New England ports. Our mission is to provide compassionate support, practical assistance, and essential services to international seafarers, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and safety while they are away from home. We offer direct services and support to international seafarers, including ship visits, transportation assistance, hospitality, advocacy, spiritual support, and a multi-service Welcome Center in downtown Portland, Maine.
