Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animal-Related, Animals
Mission: To rescue abandoned and feral cats. Have them spayed, neutered and released or adopted. These efforts are made to decrease the population on the seacoast and surrounding areas.
Programs: Safer rescued over 210 stray and/or abandoned cats and kittens in 2017. All cats and kittens are vetted which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and combo test. All adoptable cats are placed for adoption with a local shelter until we can afford a shelter and cats not socialized are placed in suitable barn homes. Safer's efforts have produced a noticeable drop in the number of stray/abandoned and feral cats on the seacoast and surrounding areas.
