Mission: The organization's primary exempt purpose is the improvement of the social, spiritual and recreational well-being of the community at large by means of various programs provided for the public, based on christian principles, and designed to improve the quality of family life for all members of the community.
Programs: The ymca exists to help people deepen positive values, their commitment to service, and the motivation to learn. Ymca programs offer a range of experiences for youth that enrich a child's cognitive, social, physical, and emotional growth through after school activities, school age child care, youth sports, day camps and pre-school programs. Approximately 900 members and 800 non-members of the schuylkill ymca were served in 2017, making a total of 25,874 visits to the schuylkill ymca's facilities during the year.
