Mission: As a university committed to the liberal arts as fundamental to education and committed to its affiliation with the presbyterian church (usa), schreiner is dedicated to excellence in preparing students to live purposeful, humane and productive lives in their work, faith groups, families and communities. Schreiner is dedicated primarily to educate undergraduate students in the liberal arts, sciences, and professional disciplines, preparing them for entry into specific careers and graduate or professional programs. The university also fulfills its mission thorugh selected graduate, certificate, and other professional development programs. Schreiner university is accredited by the commission on colleges of the southern association of colleges and schools to award masters, baccalaureate and associate degrees. The university also holds accreditation by the texas board of vocational nurse examiners and is approved by the state board of educator certification (sebc) for teacher certification.
Programs: Instructional, student services, and academic support: schreiner university offers undergraduate degrees in liberal arts, sciences and mathematics, and professional studies. The university also has graduate programs for a master of education degree and a master of business administration.
