I have been committed to healthcare delivered in the school setting for my entire career ( 30 years). In the late 1970's I started one of the first SBHC's in the country which still is thriving today. As health care reform approaches, the importance of the national leadership and voice that NASBHC offers are critical.
Ever since I attended the webinar on school-based health centers I have been convinced of their huge impact on the health of the population. What starts out as healthy habits and practices in children carry on as they grow older, reducing healthcare costs and empowering a new generation of Americans to make informed, healthy decisions. Keep up the good work!
