Mission: The purpose of sicm is exclusively religious, charitable and educational and is to minister to the needs of the urban community and its individuals; to challenge religious organizations, both member and non-member, and their individual members, and the general community, to provide greater involvement and service to the urban community; to develop understanding, trust, and cooperation among religious organizations and to encourage their membership in organization.
Programs: Emergency food program - provides temporary and emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need in the county, as well as information on other available community resources.
summer food program - provides a nutritious lunch to low and moderate income youth in twelve sites, which include churches and neighborhood parks.
damien center-provides a resource/hospitality center for persons infected or affected by hiv/aids with activities and meals hosted by volunteers.
