Mission: Saving promise is a national grassroots organization dedicated to building an advocacy and action-oriented movement to decrease intimate partner violence in america. We envision a new conversation that is rooted in prevention and proaction; builds on the important work of existing advocates; and challenges america to make a real promise for change.
Programs: Saving promise employs an evidence-based call to action strategy with a focus on prevention, education, awareness and community mobilization. Through our multi-year triple-a strategy-awareness, advocacy and proaction, our objectives are to: 1) implement engaging public awareness and education initiatives to address the underlying beliefs, attitudes and perceptions deeply rooted in our society; 2) implement an integrated prevention & behavior change model to address every layer of prevention; 3) implement a grassroots community mobilization framework to engage various sectors of our community; and 4) build an action-oriented movement to effect social, legislative and cultural change.
for year 2014, the organization has operated predominantly on pro bono, in-kind services, goods and volunteer support totaling $250,668 to assist in program development and implementation and to sustain the organization. Therefore, this year's 990 reflects this mode of operation.
