Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Homeless & Housing, Homeless Centers, Housing Support, Human Services, Temporary Housing
Mission: Saranam's mission is 'To transform the lives of homeless persons physically, emotionally, educationally and spiritually, through the faithful stewardship of the Frances Thaxton Ash Endowment and the active personal engagement of the congregation of Central United Methodist Church.'
Programs: Saranam provided housing, life skills, basic education, and vocational training for 23 families. In 2014, saranam operated at full capacity in the apartments and are piloting a 3rd and 4th year education component to allow parents to complete a degree. We are beginning conversations around comprehensive organizational evaluation and validation of our unique model in order to scale, grow and replicate.
