Mission: Incorporated in 1992, the Discovery Museum opened it's doors in 1996 with 35 interactive exhibits and programs focusing on the history, culture, traditions and ecology of the Santa Maria Valley and the Central Coast. Direct beneficiaries per year: 24,000 children and their families
Geographic areas served: the Santa Maria Valley
Programs: weekly story time (Tuesday Tales), activities promoting Kindergarten readiness (Preschool Patrol), cultural immersion (Passport Thursday), STEM-inspired learning (Science Saturday), and much, much more!
