Programs: The foundation gave $29,576 for donations to various community sporting events and functions. The foundation held their annual lonny brewer golf tournament. They had a net profit of $12,454. The foundation gave away two scholarships to members, and nine scholarships to children of members, totaling $44,000. The foundation sponsored the ken collier memorial tournament with a profit of $1,970 for the foundation for scholarships. The dsa/foundation held a raffle to collect funds tase to build a new memorial for deputy lonny brewer. The cost of the memorial was $16,422 and the net amount raised to offset the cost was $10,050. The foundation held a critical incident fundraiser called save the bacon. This was a motorcylce ride to benefit those members who may have a critical incident such as an officer involved shooting with injuries, members or family members in crisis, etc. Proceeds transferred to the critical incident fund were $6,859. The critical incident fund paid out $11,000 in benefits to members who were injured or had a critical incident in 2017.
