Mission: To protect the salt river wild horses from harm and manage them humanely as part of our national heritage, to conduct scientific research and study of wild horses as well as their natural habitat, to identify problems, shortcomings and safety hazards of the area and work with state, federal and local agencies as well as the public to find and implement cost effective solutions, to administer humane fertility control to the salt river wild horses and work with authorities in order to control population growth so that every horse born in the wild can stay in the wild, and to educate people as to the value of the salt river wild horses. Our education and marketing campaigns focus on the horses' historic and recreational value. The more people know and love wild horses the more protected they will be.
