Mission: Inspired by the sisters of st. Joseph of northwestern pennsylvania, saint vincent health system is a community of caregivers dedicated to bringing god's healing love to all, and committed to compassion and excellence in the delivery of a continuum of holistic care.
Programs: Saint vincent affiliated physicians is committed to providing acute medical care services to the erie and surrounding communities regardless of race, creed, color, religion, or any individual's ability to pay. The services provided include both inpatient and outpatient medical care in support of the hospital's long standing mission to provide high quality, cost effective, acute care to our community. Saint vincent provides certain vital health care services that are not financially profitable or reimbursed by governmental or other agencies. However, in keeping with the mission of saint vincent, saint vincent affiliated physicians is committed to provide these services. Medicare shortfall:in keeping with community benefit reporting guidelines developed by the catholic health association of the united states, medicare shortfalls associated with caring for low-income persons (supplemental security income recipients and persons who are dually eligible and are covered by both medicare and medicaid) are not included in community benefit financial numbers. We share saint vincent's level of support of these persons in fiscal 2012 in this separate entry.
