My life got very crazy for a little bit after I found out I was pregnant with my son. His “father” became my abuser. One night I decided I was done being quiet and brought the violence to light. I stayed at the safe place. While there they gave me new clothes since I came in shorts and a tank top in December. They also comforted me and helped me get a protection order. Even after leaving the safe place they still make sure that my voice is heard and that my abuser does not get near me or my child.
