Mission: The coalition's main purpose is to reduce injuries in dane county, wi. The coalition coordinates county-wide, collaborative campaigns and evidence- based injury prevention programs to address dane county's top causes of serious injury and injury-related deaths - drug poisoning, suicide, traffic crashes and falls among older adults. To conduct these activites, the coalition builds partnership among diverse organizations that share the coalition's purpose.
Programs: Safe communities coordinates an award winning collaboration of health care and substance abuse treatment providers, law enforcement, first responders and community prevention educators.
