Results: 1)Female Empowerment
We have successfully supplied sanitary pads for more than one-hundred women, and female children on the island. This insures females remain with good hygiene, and can continue their daily lives comfortably and safely.
2)Environmental Conservation and Education
Our organization has helped plant more than 200 fruit trees with local children. This effort fosters environmental conservation, education and awareness for coming generations. Families can harvest and sell fruit from trees planted from the organization, as this remains a popular source of income for island residents.
3)Fighting Hunger
We have donated over 300 bags of corn to families in need in order to fight hunger. The majority of Rusinga Island residents live on less than $1.00 a day. This Community action helps provide food security to those in
4)Helping Orphan Children With Football Kits
We have provided cleats, balls, uniforms and training materials for the children enrolled in our community football academy. Most of the children enrolled with us are orphans due to their parents dying of HIV and AIDS.

Target demographics: We are the Rusinga Community Based Organization. We provide local humanitarian support and development of basic needs to a small, but populous island on Lake Victoria, Kenya. We are looking for international partnerships and individual donors to help improve the quality of life, education, and economic stability of our residents. We are working towards achieving satisfactory marks and advancement in the United Nations ``Big Four” agenda (food security, affordable health care, affordable housing, local manufacturing). If we can achieve the “Big Four” agenda, we will vastly improve the standard of living and development for thousands of lives on our beautiful and friendly island.
Geographic areas served: We are a grassroots NGO focused on improving education conditions, availability of food, access to drinking water, and woman empowerment on our island. We work hand-in-hand to personally help families and various groups on the island in order to help their families thrive for generations to come.
Programs: i To promote health education and enhance prevention of diseases and illnesses including response to HIV/AIDS among the infected and affected.
ii. To empower women and youth economically through equipping them with relevant skills and knowledge in microfinance and resource mobilization
iii. Improved literacy levels among the children, youth and adults through support of formal vocational trainings
