The Ronald McDonald House is a safe haven for families whose children are being treated at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. It provides a home away from home for those families who wish to stay close to their child and not have to worry about where to get dinner or find a place to spend the night. Volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House has been a great experience. I've gotten the chance to meet many new and interesting people, and give back to the community. From volunteering at the house to being a part of Walkathons and Holiday Dinners, it has been one of the best experiences I've had.
The Ronald McDonald House is a wonderful home for families in crisis. We provide a safe, welcoming place for families to retreat to after a long day of caring for their child(ren) at the hospital. The house provides not only a place of shelter, we have a large kitchen where often times there are volunteers cooking meals for the families at the house.
I enjoy volunteering at the house because I know I am making a difference in someone's life. Whether I am restocking the milk and juice or helping to put labels on the newsletter I know my weekly contributions help to keep the house running smoothly. I especially enjoy when I come with my children to cook dinner for the families. It is very rewarding to see how relieved parents are when they return from a long day at the hospital to find a warm home-cooked meal awaiting them in the kitchen.
We welcome new volunteers, organizations or individuals to cook meals or to provide donations off of our wishlist which can be found on our website.
When a family has a critically ill child in the hospital, the Ronald McDonald House is here to provide a bit of comfort at a difficult time.
The Ronald McDonald House is a wonderful charity that makes a difference every day. I am proud to donate to this wonderful charity.
