Programs: Roots sustainability education and entrepreneurship (see) programs located in the roots urban sustainability laboratory at the montessori academy and lakeshore elementary school. Supports student's holistic understanding of living systems sustainability.
stand on my own two feet squared: a yearlong project in which students participate in the research, design and build of a new raised bed learning garden.
bringing science to life: an after school entrepreneur program students self-determine value-added products or services focused on sustainability and wellbeing; and at a science fair and (see) competition students present their project, knowledge and outcomes through a phd style poster and demonstration. Roots' is supported by college engineers, business mentors, and experts, who through collaboration design and engineer horticulture systems that support the student's products and services.
