I first learned about RCN after a chance pairing for the United Way Day of Caring in 2016. My company and I have been volunteering with them ever since and I had the honor of becoming a board member last year. Everyone at RCN is genuinely kind and positively impacts the kids attending every day. The campus is an oasis of 5 acres of play based learning nestled within the city. I can not stress enough how important this resource is to parents both in and outside of the city in preparing kids to learn through play and expose them to all types of people.

Rochester Childfirst Network (RCN) is made up of a group of people who truly love children. They work every day to support families in a variety of ways, including high-quality childcare, Universal Pre-Kindergarten programs, special education services, and support for family childcare homes. RCN has existed since 1857 and the staff reflects the wonderful energy and diversity of its South Wedge neighborhood. Beautiful outdoor spaces add to the learning environment and are used every day for play and natural exploration.
