Mission: The mission of ripple kids is to inspire and empower kids to take action in their community. A ripple kid is a kid who has identified an issue and taken action to resolve it.
Programs: Ripple kids continues to inspire and empower kids to take action in their community through the web site and our school recognition program. The web site underwent a major overhaul in 2016, and continues to evolve. The site allows kids seeking ideas to read about what other kids have done in their communities as a means to inspire them. Kids can submit projects and once approved, they are posted on the site for other kids to read. In addition to our web site, we continue to support our school recognition program which is a turnkey program for schools to recognize their students for taking action in their communities. Students who have completed projects are recognized in front of their peers during assemblies, thereby creating a ripple effect by inspiring their peers to take action as well. In 2017 we added john muir fundamental school in santa ana, a title 1 school. This is a community that we are interested in serving as we believe that kids from impoverished areas have fewer opportunities to contribute to their communities, and have the most to gain.
