Rim of the World Comfort Pets, Inc. is proud to announce that Team Chelsea has been selected to receive the Humane Society of San Bernardino Pet Hero Award at this year's "Walk for the Animals" to be held Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the San Manuel Stadium.
Rim of the World Comfort Pets, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to promote health and improve the quality of life for individuals through the animal-human interactions that come from animal assisted activities and therapy.
Chelsea Robinson and her “daddy”, Barry, have been invaluable to our organization since joining in March, 2016. They visit many of the facilities we serve on a regular basis, including Mountains Community Hospital in Lake Arrowhead, and the Veterans Main Hospital in Loma Linda.
Through his many philanthropic contacts, Barry receives call from outside our organization for Team Chelsea to visit and “work their magic.” There’s no better example than their visit on September 27, 2017, when Chelsea was asked to visit with Michelle Knight - a kidnapping victim who endured eleven years in captivity – that’s right… eleven years!
Rim of the World Comfort Pets has more than 25 actively working therapy dog Teams - of which my dog, Marlo, is proud to be one of those Teams; my dog, Bleu, is ready to evaluate soon and begin "working magic" with Team Chelsea, Team Marlo and the others!
Our Motto - Therapy Dogs Change Lives. Look for us in Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs - and on May 5th our Teams will "Walk for Kurt" in the Big Bear MS Walk. See you around!
